Death From Above 1979 have officially announced their 2026 “Private Lives Tour,” a major North American headline run that will take the duo across the United States and Canada this fall.
Alongside the tour announcement, the band also teased brand new music, giving fans a first preview of what appears to be a new track titled “Private Lives.”
New Song Teased Alongside Tour Announcement
The Canadian bass-and-drums rock duo shared a short clip of unreleased music on social media while unveiling the upcoming tour.
The teaser continues the aggressive, distorted, high-energy sound Death From Above 1979 are known for, featuring heavy bass riffs, pounding drums, and raw vocals.
The upcoming material would mark the band’s first major new music era since their 2021 album Is 4 Lovers.
In 2026, the duo also revisited their classic debut You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine by releasing multiple reimagined versions of songs from the album.
“Private Lives Tour” Begins in California
The 2026 North American run officially begins October 1 in Sacramento, California before continuing through:
- Los Angeles
- Seattle
- Chicago
- Toronto
- Brooklyn
- Boston
- Vancouver
The tour eventually wraps December 6 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The newly announced dates include both US and Canadian stops, continuing the band’s long-standing reputation as one of indie rock’s most explosive live acts.
