Blondshell has officially returned with a brand new single titled “Heart Has to Work So Hard” alongside the announcement of a 2026 North American headline tour.
The new track serves as the first preview of an upcoming album from Sabrina Teitelbaum, the songwriter and musician behind the Blondshell project.
New Song Explores Friendship, Betrayal, and Emotional Exhaustion
“Heart Has to Work So Hard” continues Blondshell’s emotionally raw indie rock style with layered guitars, explosive choruses, and deeply personal lyrics.
The song gradually builds from atmospheric verses into loud, distorted guitar-driven sections that mirror the emotional tension of the lyrics.
Speaking about the meaning behind the track, Sabrina Teitelbaum explained that the song focuses on friendship, betrayal, and complicated emotional dynamics between women.
According to Teitelbaum, the song reflects both confusion and compassion, describing how certain relationships can become emotionally exhausting while still holding deep emotional connection underneath.
The release marks Blondshell’s first new music since the critically praised 2026 album If You Asked for a Picture.
